Ruben Ragg, Managing Editor, studied biomedical chemistry at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and graduated under the supervision of Klaus Müllen. He obtained his PhD in 2016 from the Max Planck Graduate Center Mainz working with Wolfgang Tremel on enzyme-mimetic catalysis and joined Wiley-VCH in April 2016, initially for Chemistry-A European Journal and ChemistrySelect. Ruben left Chemistry-A European Journal in December 2017 and took on an additional role as Managing Editor of ChemBioChem.
Lisa Abel, Managing Editor, studied chemistry and French at the Universities of Sussex (UK) and Nantes (France; BSc 1991), followed by an MSc in Science and Technology Policy at the Science Policy Research Unit (Sussex). After working for a few years in London, she returned to Sussex to study for an MSc in medicinal chemistry with Jim Hanson (1998). She joined Wiley-VCH in May 2000 as an Editorial Assistant for Chemistry—A European Journal, before becoming Managing Editor of ChemBioChem in 2003, then also of ChemMedChem from its inception.
Tamaryin Godinho, Associate Editor studied natural sciences with a focus on chemistry at the University of Cambridge, where she went on to obtain an M.Sci after working on combinatorial biosynthesis in the group of Jonathan Spencer. She earned her PhD in the field of molecular medicine under the supervision of Christopher Baum at the Medizinische Hochschule Hannover.
Peter Gölitz, Founding Editor, has been the Editor-in-Chief of Angewandte Chemie since 1982. He joined the publishers in 1980 after he earned his PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Göttingen (Germany) with Professor Armin de Meijere in 1978 and spent time as a postdoc at IBM in San José, CA (USA) and the University of Hamburg (Germany). He is the Founding Editor of Advanced Materials, Chemistry—A European Journal, ChemBioChem, Chemistry—An Asian Journal, and ChemMedChem, among others.
