consuming. Subsystems or modalities, which mainly work based on studies,
often struggle with transferring case numbers. However, the effort is worth
it, because only in this way can downstream processes such as the creation
of a case view actually be performed. For each inbound interface, verify
whether the incoming data has been correctly assigned to patients and
cases
in the HCM system.
✔✔Make sure your metadata is complete and correct.
The information about the respective files is almost as important as the data
itself. With their help, subsequent processes such as displaying, searching
and filtering of data or generating authorizations can be implemented in the
first place. It is much easier to receive and process metadata directly upon
data reception than to do so subsequently.
Verify that the data received is correct. Especially with regard to harmonized formats,
make sure their content is identical to the original. Assure that all metadata
has been correctly adopted and that the classification of the data received meets
your expectations.
At the beginning of a live operation, it has proven to be a good idea
not to immediately remove completely and correctly transferred data
from the source system, but to wait a little longer. Why? Quite simply,
this is the only way to guarantee data integrity. After all, checking for
correctness takes time. Any errors may not necessarily be detected
right after the first data record is received, but only after some time.
If problems occur, data can be removed from the HCM system and
re-imported in the event of such a situation.
Step six: rolling out the multi-format viewer
You have started to place information and data in your HCM system. You can archive
and are sure that only authorized user groups can access the data?
Then it’s getting really exciting now. Because finally there will be something to
see! This is particularly exciting for users who want to know what they are actually
going to encounter with this newfangled HCM system. Make your job as IT administrator
easy and proceed cautiously.
✔✔Test the viewer in your software environment.
Multi-format viewers are often based on web technologies such as Hypertext
Markup Language 5 (HTML5). This means that the proper operation depends
on the web browsers being used in the institution. Furthermore,
